The Disruptors Play Reading Series: WINDFALL
THE DISRUPTORS PLAY READING SERIES
Four plays. Four nights. ‘The Disrupters’ play reading series takes over the Campbell House Museum in Toronto from Sept.28 - Oct.1. Experience new work by PGC members, Beverley Cooper, Marcia Johnson, Vince Deiulis, and Dave Carley.
A pandemic-postponed event is finally coming to Toronto's Campbell House Museum. The Disruptors is four nights of play-readings in the museum’s ballroom, an Equity collective in aid of Ukraine’s Donetsk Theatre of Mariupol.
The plays are:
Wed. Sept 28 – Janet Wilson Meets the Queen – by Bev Cooper
Thurs. Sept 29 – Kate and Bianca – by Marcia Johnson
Fri. Sept 30 – Windfall – by Vince Deiulis and Genna Giampaolo
Sat. Oct 1 – Shakespeare Club - by Dave Carley
‘Windfall' introduces a jaw-droppingly colourful character from our collective history. Viola MacMillan was a pioneering mine-owner/philanthropist who also did a little jail-time... The always-wonderful Chick Reid stars as Viola (cooling her heels in the Don Jail), and Genna Giampaolo as a young Macleans reporter, Christina McCall
